Our day on the water

Mark and I joined about 20 of my colleagues from The Royal Gazette and Mid-Ocean News on a 55ft yacht on Saturday. Can't pronounce or even spell the name of the boat, but we had a great time out on the water.
There was plenty of Rum Swizzle to go around and everyone ended up in th water eventually.

We also sailed around Hamilton Harbour for a bit, which was great because the island always looks so much better from the water. The houses are prettier and the water is the most amazing colour.

More photos from our home and new neighbourhood

This is our back garden. We have the bottom left apartment. You can just make out our garden furniture and back door. The stairs go up to two more apartments and another basement apartment on the bottom right.

Here are some images from our new apartment and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Yes, we are almost on the water and can hear the boats go by during the day.

Our new apartment - first few images

This is what you look like after moving half a ton of crap across the island.
The cat is just an accessory.

We still have quite a bit of stuff to unpack, but at least the living-in areas are almost done.

The tiny bathroom.

The bedroom. Looks a bit bleak, but it's really quite nice. I still have to put pictures up everywhere.

More images from our cruise

Our suite. The balcony is beyond the closed curtains.

These lovely parrots were in a cage in the Caymans and this guy, who was very funny, was our waiter for the duration of the cruise.

Some festive musicians in Mexico, a bar in Mexico and Mark goes snorkelling in the Caribbean Sea.

A small, still rather impressive Mayan burial temple in Mexico.

The gear we had to wear riding in those jeeps and Mark enjoys his bit of sun on the deck.

And a lovely sunset.
